arche noVa – Initiative für Menschen in Not e.V. is a non-profit, non-denominational and non-partisan non-governmental organization, which is active worldwide in the field of development cooperation and humanitarian aid. The organization supports people who are in need through no fault of their own as a result of natural disasters or crises and provides help for self-help. The focus of its work is on water, sanitation and hygiene. From disaster relief to reconstruction, the association works abroad with local partner organizations. Furthermore, the association carries out projects of development education in Germany. In the fiscal year 2021, arche noVa e.V. recorded donations of 1,143,218.36 euros and total income of 13,997,328.50 euros. The association has consistently carried the DZI donation seal since 1993. The organization is based in Dresden and is, among other things, a member of the coordination committee of the German Foreign Office, a member of Aktion Deutschland Hilft (ADH) via the Paritätischer Wohlfahrtsverband, as well as VENRO and the German WASH network.
