Tai yra pasirinktinio ROM „CyanogenMod“ įpėdinis, iš kurio jis buvo atleistas 2016 m. Gruodžio mėn., Kai „Cyanogen Inc.“ paskelbė, kad nutraukia plėtrą ir uždaro projekto infrastruktūrą. Kadangi „Cyanogen Inc.“ išsaugojo teises į „Cyanogen“ pavadinimą, projektas pakeitė savo šakę kaip „LineageOS“.

Apžvalga „LineageOS“
Lineage OS is only partially free and open-source, that means from what I know, that you can’t really say 100% if there’s some data collection or not. How can we then say it is trade-free? I’d give 2/5 blocks because of that. The preinstalled apps, that LineageOS comes with, are listed here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LineageOS#Preinstalled_apps – I can’t judge if all of them are trade-free, for example if the weather app cLock uses a API from a trade-based service that you need.
