Raws li kuv nkag siab, Freecycle tso cai rau tib neeg ua ntau yam khoom lag luam dawb, yog li koj tuaj yeem sib cav tias nws yuav tsum tau ntxiv rau hauv phau ntawv qhia - nws txhawb kev coj tus cwj pwm zoo, tsis muaj kev lag luam. Nws tso cai rau tib neeg tuaj yeem sib koom thiab rov siv cov khoom, thiab qhov kev sib koom thiab rov siv dua ntawm tib neeg yog kev lag luam dawb. Tab sis zoo li no ua rau kuv nco txog Couchsurfing.com- Couchsurfing kuj ua rau muaj kev lag luam zoo tsis muaj peev xwm: tib neeg tuaj yeem faib lawv qhov chaw (lub rooj zaum, chav pw, txawm li cas los xij.) kev lag luam dawb nrog lwm tus, kom lwm tus muaj chaw pw dawb. Nws txhawb txoj kev lag luam tsis pub dawb ntawm tib neeg, yog li kuv tuaj yeem pom yog vim li cas ib tus neeg yuav xav ntxiv Couchsurfing rau hauv phau ntawv. Txawm li cas los xij, cov kev pabcuam uas Couchsurfing muab tsis yog kev lag luam dawb rau tib neeg, kev pabcuam uas nws muab yog lub vev xaib uas tib neeg tuaj yeem sib txuas nrog. Thiab hmoov tsis, lub vev xaib ntawd tsis muaj kev lag luam dawb. Thaum xub thawj, lawv muab tso rau hauv lawv lub vev xaib thiab sau cov ntaub ntawv, tom qab ntawd lawv pib thawb qhov "tsim pov thawj" cov phiaj xwm nyiaj txiag, thiab tam sim no, lawv tau kaw tib neeg tawm ntawm lawv tus kheej cov nyiaj yog tias lawv tsis them tus nqi txhua hli nkag mus rau lub vev xaib. Yog li txawm hais tias Couchsurfing ua kom muaj kev lag luam tsis pub muaj kev pabcuam zoo ntawm tib neeg, lub koom haum nws tus kheej tsis muaj kev pabcuam kev lag luam dawb. Thiab qhov ntawd yog qhov kev lag luam-dawb directory yog txhua yam hais txog- cov koom haum no muab dab tsi.

Raws li kuv nkag siab, nws zoo li tib zaj dab neeg nrog Freecycle- lawv tso cai rau tib neeg tuaj yeem muab cov khoom lag luam dawb rau ib leeg, tab sis cov kev pabcuam lawv muab (lub vev xaib uas txuas cov neeg no) tsis yog kev lag luam dawb vim nws qhia koj tshaj tawm thiab sau koj cov ntaub ntawv.

Youtube posts ads next to videos and collects people’s data. One can see that as still ok since “all websites collect data” and that many websites post ads to maybe “support” themselves. However this does not make them trade-free. You have to trade your attention and data in order to access Youtube. There is no other way. Youtube won’t let you use their service without these trades. Freecycle is the same in the sense that no one can disable their ads or stop them from collecting people’s data. Thus, you HAVE to trade your attention and data to Freecycle. There is no other way that you can use their service. So, it makes this service NOT trade-free. Regardless of why they have ads on their website or collect data, for me it is not trade-free.

But I consider this anything but trade-free: https://www.directory.trade-free.org/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/Pasted-4.jpg – I understand if they lack funding, but that does not mean to put ads into their website if they want to provide a genuine platform for people to share stuff. It’s like duckduckgo saying that it’s trade-free. Yes they do not collect your data, but they also put some ads in their search: https://www.directory.trade-free.org/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/Pasted-4.png

Yog tias lawv xav muab lub platform uas tsis muaj kev lag luam, ces lawv yuav tsum cia siab rau kev pub dawb, tab sis tsis yog rau koj saib lawv cov tshaj tawm.

Thiab nyob rau sab saum toj ntawm lawv muaj qee qhov ntxoov ntxoo tiag tiag: https://www.directory.trade-free.org/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/Pasted-5.png

Freecycle is a pioneer in enabling people to gift to each other. Almost all websites collect our data and it would be best if they didn’t but that is no reason to completely reject them as a trade-free network. Adds are one of the only forms people can get funding for providing services at no cost, it is best if we can avoid them but they aren’t a good enough reason to reject a TFnetwork.

Txawm hais tias kev txhim kho tsis tau zoo, freecycle yog ib qho zoo tshaj plaws pioneer ntawm lub ntiaj teb tsis muaj kev lag luam thiab yuav tsum tau lees paub tsawg kawg yog qhov kev xaiv.

Kuv yuav tsis ntxiv lawv rau hauv phau ntawv teev npe, vim tias lawv muaj kev tshaj tawm, sau cov ntaub ntawv ntawm google-analytics thiab txhawb lawv qhov chaw ntawm kev lag luam-raws li kev tes hauj lwm xws li twitter thiab facebook. Yog li lawv xav kom koj mloog thiab cov ntaub ntawv. Yog tias koj xav muab lub network uas tib neeg tuaj yeem muab thiab tau txais khoom pub dawb, thov cia li ua li ntawd. Tsis txhob sau cov ntaub ntawv, tsis txhob tso tshaj tawm lossis txhawb nqa cov kev pabcuam kev lag luam. Kuv paub tias nws yuav tsis yooj yim rau kev tswj hwm lub vev xaib, tab sis tom qab ntawd cia siab rau kev pub dawb nkaus xwb - lwm tus koj nyob ntawm txoj kab nqes thiab sai lossis tom qab cov neeg yuav tsum tau txheeb xyuas lawv cov nyiaj lossis them nyiaj me me rau kev siv koj lub vev xaib xws li hauv rooj plaub ntawm couchsurfing ...
