Liblouis és un traductor de braille de codi obert i un traductor posterior anomenat en honor a Louis Braille. Compta amb suport per al braille informàtic i literari, admet traduccions contractades i no contractades per a molts idiomes i suporta la separació de guió. Es poden afegir fàcilment nous idiomes mitjançant taules que admeten un enfocament basat en regles o diccionaris. També s'inclouen eines per provar i depurar taules. Liblouis també admet el braille matemàtic (Nemeth i Marburg).
